Dear Glenwood Elementary Families,
We would like to take this time to welcome you and your family to Buffalo Hills! We understand that this transition may bring mixed emotions for many families. Please know that our top priority is ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every student and family during this change. Buffalo Hills Elementary is a fantastic school, and we are confident your children will thrive here. The Buffalo Hills staff is excited to welcome the Glenwood community and looks forward to building strong partnerships with you.
To help ease the transition, we will have an open house event on February 19, 2025 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. This event will give your family the chance to tour Buffalo Hills, meet the staff, and learn more about the new environment where your children will continue their educational journey. If you are unable to attend on February 19, please contact Mrs. True and she will work to find a time for your family to visit.
Additionally, we recognize the importance of continuity for students during this transition. To support this, we will offer the option for families to request that their child be placed with their current Glenwood teacher (if the teacher is transitioning to Buffalo Hills). This option is designed to provide comfort and familiarity for students as they adapt to their new school setting. Please access the GOOGLE FORM HERE to update your student’s teacher preference for the 2025-2026 school year.
