Third grade has participated in a rewards system all year, in which students are able to earn "Dojo" points. Dojo is an online application which tallies and keeps track of the points students earn for meeting or exceeding expectations. During the day today, they got to spend their points on awesome auction items. It was a very exciting day! Mr. Colling was able to secure many exceptional items for the auction, partially through a donation from Target and also the generousity of parents.
On Friday, kindergarten celebrated learning all their sight words by having a super fun beach party. They played in the sand, drank slushees, made crafts and Mrs. Hebb practiced her facepainting skills! It was all outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, even the adult volunteers! Fifth grade enjoyed a special pizza luncheon, courtesy of GCO. They were treated to decorations and a private lunch in the music room. Each one received a special plaque to commemorate their time spent at Glenwood Elementary School. It was fun to see them enjoy each other's company as they prepare to advance to middle school.
